Presenting.......Baby Addison.......Finally! ;P | Flint, Mi. Newborn Photographer

Ok, so I have been soooo busy with life, over the last month or so, that I have been terrible at sharing things here......including things that I am extremely excited about, like the much anticipated newborn photos of my beautiful niece, Addison.  I shared some images from the day she was born, but haven't had an opportunity to share any of her newborn session yet.

So here it goes.  I have put together some of my favorite photos from her session to share with everyone.  (It was not easy narrowing it down, that's for sure).  She is such a beauty, it's a crime to hold on to these and NOT share them.  Addi was so fussy at the beginning of her session, I thought we might NEVER get the shots that we had hoped to get, but after a bit of patience she fell fast asleep and was out like a light, giving me an opportunity to capture her angelic peacefulness.  I just love this little girl so much!  I am so happy for my sister and brother-in-law because they are so fortunate to have such a bright light in their lives, (as are the rest of us).  I'm sure that there will be many more photos of Addison to share in the future, so get to know this little face because you're probably going to be seeing her a lot as she grows.  :)

Princess Evangeline | Bloomfield Hills, Newborn Photographer

Meet Evangeline Grace.  She is the newest addition to a house full of girls.  Eva is the daughter of Sara from Cillerenda's Princess Couture, and has two beautiful big sisters.  Being that her mama is so crafty and talented, we were never at a loss for adorable adornments for this shoot.  All of the headpieces (headbands & crowns) are the product of Sara's craftiness and style.

Ok, so back to the littlest princess of the family.  Eva is so precious from her head to her toes.  She was a GREAT baby throughout the shoot.  I would call her a sweet pea, but I think it is more accurate to call her a sweet PEE since this girl christened just about everything we wrapped her in or laid her on.  Lol.  Luckily, that is totally expected, and we were prepared with lots of choices, and lots of absorbent cleanup cloths.  Eva is a total rockstar, and she looks good in ANY color.......as you can see.......and there was definitely no lack of color in this session.

I loved working with this little darling.  I relished the time that I got to spend lulling, shooshing, and rocking her to sleep.  And though she was ever so quiet throughout most of the time that I was there, this girl has the loudest / funniest, over exaggerated, sneeze that I have ever heard from a baby.  It totally surprised me the first time I heard it, and made me laugh each time thereafter.  She may have learned how to be dramatic from her three year old big sis, who just happens to be a Diva Fashionista Drama Queen.......and I love her to death.  She is so funny, and incredibly sweet.  She wanted to help with our shoot soooo bad, though she seemed to want to be behind the camera more so than in front of it.  After we got that perfect shot of her and her baby sissy, I helped her do a short shoot of her own with her favorite baby, Lily.   You can see the product of her natural talent here.  :)

Sweet Evangeline is also fortunate to have another loving big sister, who I was lucky enough to meet toward the end of our session.  Between her two sisters, and her mama and daddy, this little angel is sure to be showered with love on a daily basis.  I really enjoyed my time with Eva and her sisters, and I am grateful for all of the hands-on help I received from her proud mommy and grandma.  You were both amazing, and I could not have done it without you.

Sara and Andrew, congratulations on your new addition.  She is perfectly beautiful, and so lucky to have such a wonderful family.  I cannot wait to share the rest of the pics with you.  :)

Inspiration.

My inspiration comes from MANY places. I am inspired by the weather, lighting, shopping......(I find a LOT of inspiration at Hobby Lobby and Target). Whether it be a cool basket, with great textures, or a wonderfully soft blanket with outstanding colors, I am inspired by something everyday. One of my biggest inspirations is my kids. I love those babies so much, there are no words to explain it. Though, they don't all love to be in front of my camera, I get ideas just from watching them live their lives every day.

Sometimes my inspiration comes from something as simple as wanting a fabulous prize, which was the case recently, when I was reminded of a photo contest that was going on for one of my favorite vendors, Cillerenda's Princess Couture. I had about one hour to quickly throw together a mini shoot that included some Cillerenda's handmade accessories, so that I could have my photo submitted before the deadline. Lucky for me, I do still have one child who sometimes enjoys having her picture taken. And once I asked her if she wanted to do "fluffy princess pictures," she was IN. lol She was quite a trooper, and rocked out some super cute shots in no time. I managed to get my submission in on time, but unfortunately, I did not get enough votes to win. :( Either way, I LOVE everything I have purchased from Cillerenda's, and I got to enjoy having a little motivation to get some more sweet pics of my baby girl. If you have a princess that deserves some high quality girly-girl products, I definitely recommend choosing Cillerenda's Princess Couture. :)

Pink Petti-Skirt and Flower Hair Clip

This is the photo that I entered in the contest. ♥ LOVE ♥
I love her blue eyes. They mesmerize me. :)
....and this is what happens when you try to do a photo shoot,
and you forget to turn off Micky Mouse Clubhouse. ;)

Sweet Sweet Sophia. | Michigan Newborn Photographer

Facebook is a wonderful thing. It put me back in contact with one of my best friends from middle school, and gave me the opportunity to watch as she, first, rejoiced at the announcement of her pregnancy. Then I was able to follow her progress, and comment on her adorable little baby bump. Eventually facebook led to her scheduling a session with me so that I could help capture those, ever precious, first moments of the life of her sweet baby girl. I, of course, was elated and flattered to be chosen to take part in this fantastic milestone in the evolution of a family.

Baby Sophia was quite comfortable where she was, in mama's belly, and decided to show up fashionably late, but she is sooo worth the wait. When I first saw her, I was in awe of her tiny size. At just under 6 lbs (after losing a pound after birth) she was a perfect little peanut. Sophia was an angel all the way through, and was such a trooper, putting up with all of the set changes and repositioning.

Of course, I couldn't wait to see what we ended up with, and in turn, had such a hard time narrowing down the pics for this blog post, but here are just a few of this adorable little angel.

Jackie, I hope you like your preview. There are so many more to come. Can't wait to finish up so that you can see the rest. :)

A special thank you to my great friend, Lisa Kaul, for all of your help during our shoot. I appreciate you being there to lend a hand.

The feather headband, pink petti-skirt (in the hat box), and the pink flower clip (in the hat box pic) are all the beautiful products of Cillerendas Princess Couture. They have some absolutely adorable products for girls. Everything is very well made, and the petti-skirt was very fluffy and FULL. I am more than pleased with everything that I bought from there. I strongly recommend that you visit their website, or you can also check them out and keep up with what they have going on, on their facebook fanpage.

This shot is so sweet because it was not posed at all. After handing Sophia back to her mama, so that we could change our setup, she instantly stuck her thumb in her mouth and started sucking on it incessantly. Being a mom to a thumb sucker, I am partial to the sweet comfort that babies take in such a simple pleasure. I ♥ this pic. :)
